Relationship Psychotherapy

Relationships, while often a source of support, joy, and companionship, can also require regular maintenance and “work” in order to thrive. Helping people work collaboratively to improve relationships and address concerns is something I enjoy immensely. I consider it a privilege to do this type of work. Relationship partners often begin therapy to address recent or longstanding stress and strain stemming from a wide variety of sources. Alternatively, some seek relationship therapy to assist them in navigating separation or divorce. Azalea Psychological is here to help with your relationship needs and welcomes all types of relationships. Please get in touch if you and your partner(s) need professional assistance addressing any of the following:

  • Frequent or regular conflict or disagreements

  • Emotional or psychological disconnection, withdrawal, or isolation

  • Communication differences or disagreements, including not feeling heard, respected, or attended to in the way you want

  • Parenting stress related to differing parenting styles, trying to conceive, pregnancy-related concerns, or grief/loss

  • Differences in love styles (the way you prefer to give/receive love)

  • Premarital counseling

  • Financial differences, stressors, or concerns

  • Repair after affair

  • Considering separation, divorce, break-up, or dissolution of the relationship

Please note: Azalea Psychological does not provide forensic (court-related) services, meaning I will not appear in court for any reason related to divorce, separation, or custody disputes.

Group Therapy

Group therapy is an effective, popular form of treatment. Research demonstrates the efficacy of group therapy treatment for a number of mental health concerns, including mood disorders, social phobia, panic disorder, chronic pain, and several other mental and physical health disorders and illnesses (For more information about the effectiveness of group therapy see Burlingame & Jensen, 2017; Paquin et al., 2021; and Yalom & Leszcz, 2020). Additionally, participating in group therapy can help to normalize concerns so that you feel less alone, while providing interpersonal connections in a supportive environment.

There are no current groups. Please check back for future group therapy offerings.
